Blora, 2024 – In support of renewable energy utilization and improving the availability of clean water for the community, a community service team from the Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) is planning to install on-grid solar panels with a capacity of 3 kW to power a water pump system in Botoreco Village, Blora Regency.

This activity is fully supported by the Dean of the UNDIP Vocational School and involves several lecturers from various departments at the Vocational School, project managers, and staff who participate in the execution of this project. The solar panels will supply electricity for the much-needed water pump system, which will help meet the village’s clean water needs.

The initial step taken by the community service team was a site survey to determine the appropriate location for the solar panel installation and assess environmental conditions that may affect system performance. This survey is an essential part of the planning process to ensure the system operates efficiently and optimally.

In addition to benefiting the community by meeting their clean water needs, this project is also expected to serve as a model for the implementation of environmentally friendly renewable energy and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable energy use.

Moving forward, the community service team from the UNDIP Vocational School will continue with the technical planning, equipment procurement, and system installation phases to ensure the success of this project. This activity is also expected to strengthen the synergy between higher education institutions and the community in developing technologies that benefit daily life.
