INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The establishment of the Diponegoro University Vocational School as a study program management unit cannot be separated from the governance of the diploma program at Diponegoro University. Until 2016, the diploma program, in this case the diploma III program, was incorporated into the faculties at Diponegoro University according to their field of science. In line with the change in the status of Diponegoro University to become a Legal Entity State Higher Education Institution (PTN BH) as stated in the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2015 concerning the Statutes of Diponegoro University, Diponegoro University combines the management of the Diploma study program in a faculty-level institution called the Vocational School. Based on Chancellor’s Regulation no. 4 of 2016 regarding the Academic Senate Approval regarding the Establishment of a Vocational School, the UNDIP Vocational School was formed as stated in the Decree of the Chancellor of Diponegoro University Number 1250/UN7.P/HK/ 2016 concerning the Establishment of the Diponegoro University Vocational School.
The Vocational School develops applied undergraduate (D4/STr), applied master’s and applied doctoral programs, develops competency/vocational training with national or international scheme certification. At the beginning of its establishment, the UNDIP Vocational School consisted of 24 diploma III study programs which were a combination of all diploma III programs at Diponegoro University. Furthermore, the Diploma III study program was merged into 4 Departments and 11 Applied Bachelor study programs (equivalent to D4/Applied Bachelor’s Degree). This is stated in Chancellor’s Decree Number. 420/UN7.P/HK/2019 concerning Determination of Departments, Study Programs and sections in Faculties or Schools within Diponegoro University. The Industrial Technology Department is one of the departments at the UNDIP Vocational School as an academic implementation unit and is tasked with supporting the implementation of academic activities at the Diponegoro University Vocational School.
Currently, the Department of Industrial Technology has incorporated 5 Applied Undergraduate Study Programs, namely: Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design Engineering, Industrial Electrical Engineering and Marine Construction Engineering Technology. The Applied Undergraduate Study Program in Industrial Electrical Engineering was established based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Diponegoro University Number 521/UN7.P/HK/2019. The Applied Undergraduate Study Program Industrial Electrical Engineering is a transformation of the Diploma III Electrical Engineering Study Program at UNDIP which is currently accredited B until 2024, based on BAN-PT Decree No. 1952/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/Dipl-III/VII/2018. At its inception, the Diploma III Electrical Engineering Study Program was under the auspices of PAT UNDIP (Diponegoro University Technology Expert Education). The Diploma III Electrical Engineering Study Program then joined the UNDIP FNGT and in 1993 it was integrated into the UNDIP Engineering Faculty. The number of alumni of the Diploma III Electrical Engineering Study Program has spread to various cities in Indonesia and abroad.
