Semarang, 4 Desember 2025 — Hafiza Meyla Andini, a 2024 cohort student, successfully achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the Telepati IoT Championship Polban 2025, held at Politeknik Negeri Bandung, West Java 29 November 2025. This competition is one of the prestigious events that brings together young innovators in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) from various universities across Indonesia.
The Innovation: PurifyBin
In this competition, Hafiza presented a project titled:
“PurifyBin: An Automatic Organic–Inorganic Waste Sorting Bin with Artificial Intelligence and IoT Integrated Double Stage Purification for Eliminating Pollution and Odor from Waste.”
PurifyBin is an innovative smart waste bin capable of automatically sorting organic and inorganic waste. The system is enhanced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IoT technology, and equipped with a double stage purification mechanism to eliminate air pollution and unpleasant odors from waste. This innovation emphasizes not only technological advancement but also environmental sustainability through more efficient and hygienic waste management.
Through a solid presentation and system demonstration, Hafiza successfully earned 3rd Place, outperforming many other participants who also showcased various IoT-based technological innovations. This achievement highlights the strong potential of the 2024 cohort in developing intelligent and sustainable technology solutions.
