Self-Reliant Energy Village Program

Students from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University are actively involved in the Self-Reliant Energy Village Program at Diponegoro University, in collaboration with the Pertamina Foundation. The Self-Reliant Energy Village Program at Diponegoro University aims to develop Sitaring Tourism Village through two main activities: the establishment of a waste bank and the installation of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS).

A team of students from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program, consisting of Muhammad Wildan Hariansyah Putra, Alfonsus Giovanni Mahendra Putra, Yonathan Dwi Nugroho, and Muhammad Irvan Aditya Andreawan, is responsible for installing the PLTS in the village. This PLTS, with a capacity of 1665 Wp and supported by six batteries with a capacity of 200Ah, is designed to provide sustainable energy support.

Sitaring Tourism Village, located in Puwono Hamlet, Kemambang Village, Banyubiru District, Semarang Regency, has significantly benefited from this initiative. The Solar Power Plant (PLTS) not only provides reliable renewable energy supply but also helps reduce dependency on conventional electricity resources. This effort not only creates energy sustainability but also promotes local economic growth through the utilization of renewable energy sources.

The installation of the PLTS by Undip students in Sitaring Tourism Village is a positive step towards supporting sustainability and providing positive impacts for the local community.

Faculty Members of the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program Attend Competency Assessment Assessor Training by BNSP

Dalam upaya untuk memperkuat kompetensi evaluasi dan penilaian mahasiswa, para dosen dari Program Studi Teknik Listrik Industri telah mengambil bagian dalam pelatihan sebagai asesor uji kompetensi yang diselenggarakan oleh Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP). Pelatihan ini berlangsung sejak tanggal 26 Februari 2024 – 2 Maret 2024, bertujuan untuk memperdalam pemahaman para dosen tentang standar evaluasi kompetensi serta prosedur pengujian yang ditetapkan oleh BNSP.

Selama pelatihan, para dosen diberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang metodologi penilaian yang obyektif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri. Mereka juga diajarkan tentang alat evaluasi yang sesuai untuk mengukur kemampuan mahasiswa dalam bidang teknik listrik industri, serta pentingnya memberikan umpan balik yang konstruktif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Pelatihan ini juga dianggap sebagai langkah penting dalam mendukung upaya Program Studi Teknik Listrik Industri dalam memenuhi standar akademik dan industri yang tinggi. Dengan memiliki dosen-dosen yang terampil sebagai asesor uji kompetensi, diharapkan lulusan program ini akan memiliki kemampuan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja yang semakin kompetitif.

Practicum Activity: Public Street Lighting Installation

The practical session for the course “Power Transmission & Distribution Systems” held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, wherein the installation of cables for public street lighting was conducted for students of the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program, is an integral part of the school’s efforts to prepare students to become professionals in the field of electrical engineering. In this practical session, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of cable installation and the installation of devices for public street lighting. With direct guidance from expert lecturers in the field, students learned practical steps in installing cables and public street lighting according to safety standards and energy efficiency.

This practicum activity is also part of the school’s efforts to enhance students’ practical skills and optimally prepare them to enter the workforce. With practicums like this, it is hoped that students can gain a deeper understanding of the cable installation process and public street lighting, and be better prepared to face challenges in the field. With the success of this practicum on the installation of public street lighting cables, Vocational Schools continue to demonstrate their commitment to providing high-quality education that meets industry needs, so that graduates are ready to compete in an increasingly competitive job market.

The awarding of a Patent Certificate

The Patent Certificate Award Ceremony, held by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, was attended by stakeholders and academics. The Industrial Electrical Engineering Program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University (Undip) celebrated its outstanding achievement with the presentation of a patent certificate. The certificate was granted as official recognition of the innovation successfully developed by the teaching staff of the program.

The innovation recognized with this patent is the result of collaborative efforts between the instructors and students of the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program. In this project, the Industrial Electrical Engineering Program successfully developed innovative and relevant technological solutions for the electrical industry. Visit to PT. POLYTRON for Establishing Collaboration

An industrial visit to PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (POLYTRON), located at Jl. KHR Asnawi PO Box 126, Krapyak, Kudus, Central Java, has been successfully conducted. In this regard, a team from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program was received by Mr. David Setyadi Rahardjo, the Head of Culture Development, and his team. During the visit, opportunities for collaboration between the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, particularly the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program, and PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (POLYTRON) in the development of the University’s Tri Dharma, especially in the internship process for students and other cooperation, were discussed. The discussion concluded that PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (POLYTRON) will accept students for internships by directly submitting a request letter. This visit is part of the Vocational School’s efforts to expand its cooperation network with leading companies in order to provide better practical experiences for its students. PT. POLYTRON, known for its innovations in the field of electronics, is a highly anticipated partner to help improve the quality of technical education at the Vocational School. During the visit, representatives from the Vocational School met with PT. POLYTRON’s senior management to discuss various potential collaborations, including internship programs, joint research, and training for students.
