Signing of Cooperation Agreement with PT. TBK Samator

PT. Samator is a company operating in the gas industry in Indonesia. PT Samator is holding a Campus Scouting activity which aims to provide insight to students who have passed the internal University Internship selection in the field of Techinque sustainability about the world of work at the company. Apart from that, a cooperation agreement was also signed between the Diponegoro University Vocational School and PT. Samator TBK which was attended directly by Mr Octavianus Santoso as Technical and Sustainability Director of PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk. This activity was carried out to open up opportunities for Vocational School students to gain work experience in the gas industry.

This Campus Scouting activity was carried out in the Hall Room on the 4th Floor of the Astra Building, Diponegoro University Vocational School. The event went well where participants were introduced to the company profile of PT. Samator Indo Gas Tbk. This material was delivered by a team from PT Samator, who provided a general overview of the company’s history, vision and mission. Participants were also given information about career opportunities at the company. Then the presentation of the material was delivered directly by the Technical and Sustainability Director of PT. Samator with the aim of in-depth understanding of company operations, the technology used, as well as the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

The issuance of Student Competency Certificates is an important process in education and training. Competency certificates serve as official evidence that a student has successfully completed a specific program or course and possesses the skills and knowledge required in that field. This activity was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Sc., and attended by several distinguished guests involved in the certification process, including the Head of the Central Java Energy and Mineral Resources Agency, the General Manager of PLN UID for Central Java and Yogyakarta, the General Manager of PLN Pusmanpro, the Managing Director of PT. Haleyora Power, the Director of PT Gemapedekabe, the Director of PT Certification of Prime Installations, the Director of PT Certification of Prime Installations Nawa Sinergi, the Director of PT Pioneer National Electrical Installation Protection (PT.PPILN), the Director of PT Sinar Abadi Sukoharjo, the Director of PT Tirtha Bhuwana Asri, the Director of PT Askana Jaya Santoso, the Director of PT Sapto Argo Perkasa, the Director of PT Harta Jaya Kudus, the Chairman of MKI Central Java Regional Office, the General Manager of PT KONSUIL PERDANA for the Central Java Region, and the General Manager of PT Jasa Kelistrikan Indonesia for the Central Java Region.

In this activity, the speakers emphasized the importance of certification activities for students. Apart from introducing responsibilities, they also highlighted the importance of procedures in work for the sake of safety, both for oneself and others.

Matsura, is a student from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program from Japan, who is implementing the Diponegoro Exchange Experience Program (DEEP). The program runs from 20 August 2023 to 30 September 2023.While carrying out the Diponegoro Exchange Experience program (DEEP) Matsura will attend lectures normally at the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program, Vocational School, Diponegoro University. Of course, during the implementation of the Diponegoro Exchange Experience program (DEEP), Matsura was also assisted by friends from the Electrical Engineering Studio Program at the Vocational School, Diponegoro University, in terms of communication and environmental adaptation in Indonesia.

The activity of implementing PKKMB (Introduction to Campus Life for New Students) at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University is an event typically organized by the Faculty of Vocational School of Diponegoro University to welcome new students who have just been accepted as part of their orientation process in the campus environment. The main objective of PKKMB is to provide a better understanding to new students about campus life, administrative procedures, campus resources, academic activities, and campus culture.

During PKKMB, new students are typically introduced to the following:

  1. Campus Structure: Students will be informed about various facilities on campus such as lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, and other relevant locations.
  2. Administrative Procedures: Students will receive information about registration procedures, academic regulations, campus policies, and other important matters.
  3. Academic Activities: Information about study programs, offered courses, class schedules, and other academic opportunities will be provided to new students.
  4. Campus Activities and Extracurriculars: PKKMB often introduces new students to various clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities available on campus.
  5. Campus Culture: New students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the campus culture, norms, values, and ethics prevalent in the environment.

PKKMB aims to assist new students in adapting to campus life, acquiring the necessary information to succeed in their studies, and building social relationships among fellow new students and with the campus community.
